I came from sports science, where recovery is taken seriously and sleep is treated as training rather than as an absence of it. Most of what I do now is applying that outside sport. I work on the measurable side: light exposure, temperature, timing, caffeine kinetics, alcohol, and the interaction between exercise timing and sleep quality. Where a device is genuinely useful I will say so, and where it is generating anxiety I will tell you to put it in a drawer. My clients are usually people who are doing most things right and cannot work out which remaining variable is the problem. Often it is temperature, and almost nobody guesses that.
